The Department of Workforce Development is pleased to announce the start of the 2022 Graduate Trainee Programme, which commenced on Monday 6 December. The Minister of Labour, the Hon. Jason Hayward, JP, MP, joined the Graduate Trainee Programme participants in a virtual event marking the start of the Programme.
The programme participants will receive coaching, employability skills training and one-on-one support to develop their personal brand. They will also have the opportunity to gain industry experience in their area of study. At the conclusion of the programme, and to assist with transitioning into their careers, all involved will benefit from a three-month work placement sponsored by the Department of Workforce Development.

Addressing the programme’s participants, the Minister of Labour, the Honourable Jason Hayward, JP, MP, said, "As part of Bermuda Economic Recovery Plan’sYouth Employment Strategy, the Ministry of Labour launched the first Graduate Trainee Pilot Programme in February 2021, with 15 recent college/university graduates successfully completing the programme. I now congratulate each of you for your academic accomplishments and for becoming the second cohort of young men and women to participate in this programme. You are the future leaders of Bermuda,and this Government is committed to providing you with the training and support opportunities needed for success.”
