The Department of Health continues its efforts to provide accessible flu vaccinations for the community. Two final Flu Express Walk-In Clinics for 2023 will be held at the Hamilton Health Center on Saturday, November 25th, from 9 am - 1 pm and Wednesday, November 29th, from 2 pm - 6 pm.
The seasonal influenza (flu) vaccine is available for priority groups through their doctor or the Flu Express. The Flu Express is for persons 12 years and older. The cost is $20.00 per shot for adults and children – you can pay using cash, card, or online. Seniors (65 and older) are FREE.
The public can fill out the consent form and pay online for the flu vaccine to minimise paperwork on arrival and reduce wait times by visiting https://forms.gov.bm/Influenza-Vaccine-Consent. An email will be sent to you and is required to be shown when you arrive for vaccination. If you cannot complete the consent form online, you can do so at the Flu Express location.
Priority persons who should attend the "Flu Express" are:
- Healthcare workers, caregivers, and essential service workers
- Persons aged 65 years and older
- Any person with chronic medical conditions that are at risk of complications from the flu, e.g. diabetics, asthmatics and those with heart disease. They should inform their doctor when they have been vaccinated.
- Children under 12 should attend their usual doctor’s office for vaccination.
If you have any questions about the flu shot or need more information, please consult a healthcare professional or call the Department of Health at 278-6452.
