A Government spokesperson also added, "As it relates to this afternoon's truck incident on Canal Road, we want to reassure the public and Bermuda Day Parade participants that staff from the Department of Works and Engineering have carried out the necessary inspections of the bridge along Cedar Avenue.
"As such, no safety concerns were found and the parade route will be unaffected. The debris caused by the incident will be cleaned up on Thursday while the road closure is in effect."
