The event will take place at Bermuda College's Athene Lecture Hall, Monday April 7th, from 5:45 PM to 7:30 PM.

Moderated by Ms. Janice Mullings-George, RN, Founder of ‘Reset to Reboot’, the discussion will feature an panel of experts, including Dr. Sylvanus Nawab (Pediatric Specialist), Ms. Fiona Dill (Doula and Executive Director of ‘It Takes a Village’), Dr. Terrylynn Tyrell (Coordinator of the Child Development Programme), Ms. Allison Outerbridge (Public Health Nutritionist), Dr. Ricky Braitwaite (CEO of Bermuda Health Council), and Ms. Lynn Jackson (Chief Nursing Officer, Department of Health).

Minister of Health Kim Wilson noted, “As Bermuda joins the global community in marking World Health Day, this year’s theme, Healthy Beginnings, Hopeful Futures, underscores our shared belief that the health of mothers and babies is essential for building strong families and resilient communities. I encourage parents, caregivers, and community members to join this important discussion and explore how we can collectively secure a healthier future for Bermuda's next generation.”

This event aligns with the Ministry's First 1,000 Days Integrated Care Pathway Initiative, a priority under its Universal Health Coverage Programme. The initiative supports women and children during the critical early life stage, from conception to a child’s second birthday. Efforts include mapping patient care journeys, enhancing perinatal care, expanding home visiting services, improving maternal mental health support, and collaborating with the Baby Friendly Hospital initiative to promote breastfeeding.
