On June 2, Governor Rena Lalgie, hosted a Queen’s Birthday and Platinum Jubilee Reception at Government House.
The event took on special significance as it marked Her Majesty's milestone ocassion with a performance by the Gombeys, the Coral Beats and the Royal Bermuda Regiment Band.
Last evening Bermuda also joined other Commonwealth and Overseas Territories in the Lighting of the Queen's Jubilee Beacon.
Celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee are currently underway.
Today on June 3, the Governor and Premier David Burt will plant two Bermuda Cedar trees to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
