Public Encouraged to Attend the Next Information Session on Uniformed Service Careers

National Security

The Ministry of National Security invites Bermudians and spouses of Bermudians to the second in a series of public information sessions designed to provide insight into career opportunities within Bermuda's five uniformed services.

The session will take place on Tuesday, 18 March, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dalton E. Tucker Primary School, 7 Middle Road, Southampton.

Building on the momentum of the first successful session, this event will offer attendees a chance to engage directly with representatives from the Bermuda Police Service, Royal Bermuda Regiment, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, Customs Department, and Department of Corrections.

Minister of National Security, the Hon. Michael Weeks, JP, MP, encouraged residents to attend, stating: “Bermuda's uniformed services play a crucial role in maintaining our island's safety, security, and well-being.

"This session provides an excellent opportunity for those interested in a career in these fields to gain first-hand knowledge of the roles, responsibilities, and requirements involved."

Attendees can ask questions, learn about training and recruitment processes, and better understand how to prepare for future opportunities.

This session is about preparation, awareness, and planning for the future. For those unable to attend, information is available at https://www.gov.bm/uniformedservices, where details on each service are provided.

"If you have ever considered a career in uniformed service, this is your chance to take the first step. We look forward to seeing you there," added Minister Weeks.
