Water Supply Restrictions in Effect Following System Failure at Tynesbay Seawater Treatment Plant
The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform its commercial and residential customers of a significant systems failure affecting the infrastructure that delivers sea water to the Tynesbay Seawater Treatment Plant. Our team of engineers and technical specialists is currently assessing the damage and identifying the best solutions for repair.
Due to this failure, the Ministry's Central Distribution System cannot meet the regular water supply demand. To ensure water availability for essential customers, restrictions on the supply of pipe water and to the water trucker outlets in the central distribution system have been immediately implemented.
We assure the public that the Ministry’s Western and Eastern Distribution Systems are unaffected by this incident, and water service in these areas will continue as normal.
The Ministry of Public Works is fully committed to resolving this issue as quickly and efficiently as possible. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. Your patience is greatly valued as we work to restore full functionality to the system.
