What waste is accepted at the public drop off?

This facility has designated disposal areas for hazardous waste items, TAG Recyclables, household waste, bulky items, metal waste, and other waste items.

7.2       Who can and cannot use this facility?

The Tynes Bay Public Drop off is a free waste disposal service available to the drivers of private cars, L and LP vehicles with a maximum of 4 bags of household garbage.  H, HX and other heavy vehicles may not use the facility to deposit waste of any kind.

7.3       Hours of operation.

Tynes Bay Public Drop-Off is open 7 days a week from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m., on public holidays from 9 a.m. to noon and closed on Christmas day.
