Bus zones and transfers
Bermuda Bus service is divided in 14 zones.
A three zone ticket allows you to travel through three zones during one trip. A 14 zone ticket is required if you are passing through more than three zones during a trip. Ticket and token costs are determined by the amount of zones you will be travelling in one trip.
Day Pass fare is determined by the length of time you will use the pass and whether the pass will be used by an adult or a child. Day Passes must be used for consecutive days only. Monthly Passes allow you to travel for an unlimited number of trip through all zones during a calendar month.

Bus Stops
A bus stop is recognized by the pink or blue pole which shows the direction that the bus will be headed. Pink poles mean that the bus will be travelling toward the City of Hamilton and blue poles mean that the bus will be travelling away from the City of Hamilton.
Transfers
Transfers are free, where appropriate, upon request from Bus Operator. A transfer is a small slip of paper that indicates the time the transfer is to be made, and the zone of the final destination. It is used for a continuous trip and does not allow for a stop-over. It will display a 15 minute timeframe in which you must catch your connecting bus. If a transfer has expired, you will be required to pay the fare to your destination unless you are travelling at a time when the buses are not travelling in 15 minute intervals. When boarding the connecting bus, be sure to display your transfer. It is your confirmation that you have paid the fare for the complete journey.
Transfers are honoured on the ferries only if you are travelling from Hamilton to St. Georges. In all other cases, the ferry service does not accept transfers.
Accessibility
The bus system in Bermuda is not fully accessible. All buses can be leaned to make getting on and off the bus easier. There are some buses that are able to hold folded wheelchairs; however, the buses do not have ramps.
