Clinker Crane Replacement

The Government of Bermuda, Ministry of Public Works is soliciting proposals from experienced qualified Contractor to provide professional engineering, construction, and mechanical & electrical installation services associated with the supply and installation of a Replacement Clinker Crane at the Tynes Bay Ash Plant Facility.  The purpose of this work is to decommission and replace the existing clinker crane along with its associated mechanical and electrical support systems which have reached their useful life.  The project specifically involves the following:

•             Design & Engineering of New Clinker Crane

•             Supply and Delivery of a Complete Clinker Crane

•             Supply and Delivery of Clinker Crane Mechanical & Electrical Systems

•             Decommissioning of Existing Clinker Crane, Rails and Systems

•             Supply and Delivery of New Rail System

•             Installation of Complete Clinker Crane Systems

Contractors submitting a proposal for this work will be required to have specialized experience with utility scale engineering, construction and installation projects.  The contractors will be required to provide sufficient information to demonstrate their technical capability to complete the scope of works and deliverables in accordance with the RFP and Scope of Work documents. The project involves engineering, project management, welding, operational logistics planning & execution, construction works, mechanical & electrical installations as well as commissioning services.    A large portion of the overall performance of the contract is dependent on the ability of the contractor to provide a work plan and methodology that meets the specific criteria and limitations as outlined in the Scope of Work documentation.  The qualified contractor shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond as outlined in the RFP documentation.  Proposals submitted by Contractors who cannot demonstrate the expertise outlined above will automatically be rejected.
