BEDC is requesting proposals from qualified firms to create a public and a private wireless (Wi-Fi) network within the North East Hamilton (NEH) Economic Empowerment Zone (EEZ).
The scope of services includes the following:
• System design
• Equipment and licensing provision
• Internet Service identification and/or provision
• Installation
• System monitoring, maintenance and upkeep
• Proposed plans to recover monthly costs of Internet service and
maintenance/technical support
As identified in the Coverage Area Map, the BEDC has identified a priority project area where the provision of Wi-Fi is the focus of this Request for Proposals. The system is expected to provide a strong signal to the outdoor areas of the entire coverage area.
