The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists and the general public that the MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K race is scheduled for Sunday, 6 October 2024, which will necessitate road closures and traffic diversions in certain areas.

The MAAC Beyond Fitness 5K race will occur between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Motorists are advised to anticipate road closures and potential delays during this period, especially along the race route.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to advise the motoring public of a lane closure on North Shore Road, from Barkers Hill to Jennings Road, to facilitate necessary fencing repair works. 

The closure will affect the eastbound lane and will be in effect from Tuesday, 24 September 2024, until Thursday, 24 October 2024, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The Ministry of Public Works advises the public of an emergency lane closure on the westbound lane of Somerset Road, near Scaur Hill in Sandys Parish, due to the failure of a retaining wall adjacent to the roadway.

The lane closure will take effect today, Thursday, 19 September 2024, and will remain in place until further notice to ensure the safety of road users.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that Harbour Road in Paget Parish will be closed for an emergency today, Thursday, 19 September 2024.

From 10 a.m., Harbour Road from Harvey Road to Highwood Lane will be closed to allow for the placement of a crane to extract a submerged vehicle from Hamilton Harbour. The closure will remain in place until the vehicle is removed.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the public that The Causeway in St. George's Parish will be closed in one lane from Wednesday, 18 September 2024, to Sunday, 22 September 2024. 

This closure is necessary to facilitate repair works on the existing masonry wall. The work will be conducted daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to advise the motoring public of the continued road closure on St. David's Road in St. George's Parish, specifically at the Stokes Point Bridge bend. 

Initially planned for a shorter duration, this closure will now extend through to Friday, 20 September 2024, to facilitate ongoing wall reconstruction and road improvement works.

The Ministry of Public Works advises the public that the Bermuda Bicycle Association will be conducting a Time Trial event on Sunday, 25 August 2024, between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. 

During this period, certain roads will be impacted by the race, and motorists are urged to exercise caution.

The Ministry of Public Works would like to advise the motoring public of ongoing lane closures on Harrington Sound Road and Middle Road on Flatts Hill in Smith's Parish. These lane closures, necessary for sequential milling and paving works, will continue through Friday, 23 August 2024.
