Road Traffic Notice: Bermuda Bicycle Association Road Race

Ministry of Public Works advises that the Bermuda Bicycle Association will hold a road race on Sunday, July 7, starting at 8:00 am from the Prospect Police Headquarters on Fort Hill in Devonshire. 

Passage across several roads, including Middle  Road, North Shore and Frog Lane, will be affected during this time. 

The race is expected to finish by 10:30 am, and race marshals and Bermuda Police Service will control the route. 

South Road Lane Closer for Wall Demolition & Construction

The Ministry of Public Works advises that as of Saturday, 6 July, through Sunday, 11 August, there will be a single-lane closure on the South Road westbound lane starting from the Paget traffic light to allow for demolition and reconstruction of a wall section along the sidewalk. 

Traffic delays can be expected due to the traffic control measures. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use extra caution in the area. 

Road Traffic Notice: Lane Closure on North Shore Road, Flatts for Drain Cleaning

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that North Shore Road's eastbound lane in Flatts, Smith's Parish, will be closed to one lane to facilitate the cleanout of the storm drains.

Depending on weather conditions, this lane closure will commence on Thursday, 27 June 2024, or Friday, 28 June 2024. The work will be carried out between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Pitt's Bay Road Lane Closure for Outerbridge Building Demolition

The Ministry of Public Works announces a single-lane closure near 75 Pitt's Bay Road in Pembroke Parish for the demolition of the Outerbridge building.

  • Closure Dates: Wednesday, 12 June 2024, to Friday, 9 August 2024
  • Working Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily

To accommodate westbound traffic, the north lane (into town) will be closed, and parking will be prohibited in the south lane (out of town).
