The Premier, the Hon. David Burt, JP, MP, travelled to Barbados from February 19–21, 2025, to attend the 48th Regular Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads of Government under the Chairmanship of Hon. Mia Mottley, SC, MP, Prime Minister of Barbados. The Premier was accompanied by MP Chris Famous.
The Premier of Bermuda, the Hon. David Burt, travelled to the United Kingdom from November 17-22 to attend the annual Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) in London, the first under the new UK Labour Government. This important forum facilitated discussions with UK ministers and fellow Overseas Territory leaders on enhancing the UK-OT relationship through principles of partnership, respect, and democratic autonomy.
The Premier, The Hon. David Burt JP, MP travelled to Miami, Florida, from October 27-29 to participate in the Pre-Joint Ministerial Council (Pre-JMC) meetings alongside other Overseas Territory leaders, preparing for the upcoming Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) in London. This gathering provided an opportunity to address shared challenges and priorities in advance of formal discussions with the UK government in November.

The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. David Burt, JP. MP, lead a business development mission delegation to New York City during the period 1st - 3rd May, 2024, to attend the Alternate Investment Management Association's (AIMA) Digital Asset Conference.
The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. David Burt, JP. MP., led a Bermuda delegation to Austin, Texas on 28th May, 2024, to participate in the world's largest gathering of digital asset, blockchain and Web3 enthusiasts. Bermuda has attended this event since 2018.
The Bermuda delegation comprised representatives from the Government of Bermuda, the Bermuda Monetary Authority, the Bermuda Business Development Agency, local law firms, and the digital finance industry.
The Premier and Minister of Finance, the Hon. David Burt, JP. MP., travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emigrates, to attend the annual Satoshi Roundtable Conference during the period 1st - 7th February, 2024. The Satoshi Roundtable is an invite-only conference, which gathers top fintech founders, leaders and executives, and has been running yearly since 2014.
The Premier, Hon. E. David Burt, JP, MP, travelled to Montreal, Canada, from 15 April-17 April 2024 to the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), where he took part in a ceremony hosted by the ICAO that confirmed the reinstatement of the BMU code to Bermuda’s British Overseas Territories Citizens (BOTC) passports.
The Premier, the Hon. David Burt JP, MP, travelled to Guyana from 24-29 February to attend the 46th Regular Meeting of the Conference of CARICOM Heads of Government.
The conference, which took place from Feb. 25 - 28, was hosted under the Chairmanship of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The Premier, the Hon. David Burt, travelled to the UAE on 26 November-7 December to lead the Bermuda delegation and participate in the Abu Dhabi Finance Week and the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai.
COP 28 is one of the most important environmental and diplomatic events of the year, and it was vital that Bermuda was well represented.
The Premier of Bermuda, the Hon. David Burt travelled to the UK from 12 November-16 November to attend the Joint Ministerial Council (JMC) in London, the annual meeting hosted by the UK government, bringing together leaders of the British Overseas Territories. The Deputy Premier joined Premier Burt for this year’s engagements in London.
