After delivering the commencement address at the George Washington University School of Business, the Premier conducted meetings with the Digital Chamber of Commerce and officials on Capitol Hill.

Premier attended the annual Joint Ministerial Conference in London and then travelled to Berlin for meetings at the German Ministry of Finance in advance of the ECOFIN meeting to confirm the European's Unions list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax.

Premier and Minister of Finance the Hon David Burt travelled to Davos, Switzerland January 21-26 2018 for a series of meetings coinciding with the 48th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. The key objectives of the trip were to promote the advantages of Bermuda for international business, and to establish partnerships with global experts who could help to build the regulatory framework to support Bermuda’s new blockchain/cryptoasset offering.
Attended the Congressional Black Caucus’ 47th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington DC. Was joined by Minister of Economic Development and Tourism, the Hon. Jamahl Simmons, JP, MP.
The Premier travelled to the UK, Paris and Brussels, accompanied by a Ministry of Finance Official, and the Director of the London UK Office, to meet with high level UK officials, OECD officials, French officials and Brussels officials to engage on the European Union pending Blacklist threat to Bermuda, among other matters.
The Premier travelled to New York, accompanied by a Bermuda Development Agency official to meet and participate in various high level meetings with current and prospective international business clients with the continuing view to promote Bermuda as a first class international business destination.
